Downtown Chicago In-Person Fitness Training

Are you a Chicagoland resident who’s looking for help with any of the following?

  • Learning how to safely + effectively lift weights, so you can feel strong and confident in and out of the gym
  • Take your training to the next level so you can bust through plateaus and get more out of your workouts
  • Use strength training to support your other interests, like having more energy to play with your kids, feeling more creative and energized at work, competing in your first triathlon or taking a backcountry backpacking trip
  • Get more support and accountability to stay on track and actually show up for yourself

If so, I’d love to help you.

I am a certified personal trainer with more than 8 years coaching experience. I’ve worked with hundreds of people just like you and completed close to 10,000 in person training sessions. I’m confident I can help you use the gym to build your strongest life.

I especially love to work with creative, ambitious people who know they could be giving more to their art, work and lives if they were in better shape or spent less time figuring out what to do at the gym.

I am a former professional musician who understands the rigor and demands of a creative life. Getting in shape totally transformed the way I show in the world, and it can do the same for you.

Here are the details:

Location

I train clients out of HiFi Personal Fitness in the lower level of 820 N Orleans in downtown Chicago.

HiFi is an independent trainer’s gym, which means you do not need to purchase a membership there to train with me.

All payment and logistics are handled by me, not the gym. This means you can keep your regular gym membership or skip out on one entirely.

HiFi is located on the edge of River North right off the I-90/94 Ohio St. feeder. There are plenty of free and paid parking options nearby, including a $5/2 hours validated parking garage.

HiFi is also easily accessible via the CTA – just steps from the Chicago brown line stop and a short walk from the red and blue lines.

It has a full locker room complete with showers and free towels. It’s easy to train in the morning and shower before heading directly to work.

Getting started

Anyone interested in in-person training will receive a complimentary 60 minute session. I want to make sure we are a good fit before you commit to training with me.

You can book your initial appointment using this link.

Before the session, I’ll send you an online questionnaire so I can learn more about you, your goals and what you’re hoping to get from coaching. I may reach out with some follow up questions before we meet.

I send this before our session so we can make the most of our training time together.

At the start of our session, I will give you a quick tour of the gym followed by an initial assessment + workout.

Don’t worry about getting poked and prodded or measured. I’m also not the kind of trainer who likes to crush her clients during workouts. I’m much more interested in learning how you’re currently moving so I can put you in the best position to be successful.

Once we’re done training, we will sit down to discuss whether or not you want to move forward with training. No hard sells from me – I want to make sure it’s a good fit for both of us.

Rates and payment

My rate is $110/hour. If you purchase a package of 4 or more sessions, the price drops to $105/hour. Partner sessions cost an additional $9 per hour.

Some of my in-person clients who train with me less frequently have me write training programs to complete on their own. The cost of this is the session rate – $110 per each 4-6 week program.

I accept payment through PayPal, square, venmo or cash.
